Babelsberger Salon
The Babelsberger Salon was founded last year by students and teaching staff at the Film University Babelsberg KONRAD WOLF. The Salon is an initiative designed to transfer in-depth discussion about film and the feminist analytical view on films from the university and academy sphere out into the public domain and promote discourse on gender relationships.

And now the Babelsberger Salon is going on tour, appearing at the International Women's Film Festival in Dortmund.  Film scholar Renata Helker alongside master editor and also editing lecturer at the Babelsberg Film University KONRAD WOLF Susanne Foidl from Potsdam conduct an in-depth preview of some films on this year’s Festival schedule. Sequences will be analysed and in certain cases also re-edited. The event will also see the Babelsberger Salon present the results of this “Editing Gender” and invites all interested parties to join in contemplating the portrayal of gender relationships in film.

This event is open to all Festival-goers.
