Adiaha-Award 2020 for Tamara Dawit

Congratulations to Tamara Mariam Dawit, winner of the ADIAHA AWARD for her documentary feature Finding Sally. The award has been launched in 2017 by the pan-african »Ladima Foundation« and honors the best African female documentary filmmaker. It is endowed with 2.000 $. 'Adiaha' means first daughter in the Ibibio language of Akwa Ibom State in Nigeria.

As one of the partner festivals of the Ladima Foundation we will present FINDING SALLY  at our upcoming festival in April in Dortmund.

FINDING SALLY is a feature documentary that tells the incredible story of a 23-year-old woman from an upper-class family and her mysterious disappearance after joining the Ethiopian People’s Revolutionary Party.
