Beirut: Torn between the traditions of the East and the modern lifestyle of the West, five women of different ages and religions try to find true happiness.They meet regularly in a beauty salon and talk about their lives and loves. Layale loves a married man but has an admirer who would do anything for her. Nisrine is due to marry, but lost her virginity a long time ago. Rima falls in love with a beauty salon customer, Jamale is worried about growing old. Seamstress Rose lives for her sick sister, but experiences love for the first time when she meets the charming Charles.
